mostr\u00f3 un significativo avance en el\u00a0<\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/nature-index\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Ranking Nature Index Research Leaders 2025<\/a>,<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span>logrando el segundo lugar nacional, mejorando un 116.3% su evaluaci\u00f3n respecto de la medici\u00f3n anterior y alcanzando la 8\u00aa posici\u00f3n a nivel sudamericano.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>El\u00a0<\/span><b>Nature Index<\/b><span>\u00a0eval\u00faa anualmente la producci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica de alto impacto, considerando art\u00edculos publicados entre el 1 de enero y el 31 de diciembre de 2024 en un selecto grupo de 145 revistas especializadas en ciencias naturales y de la salud. M\u00e1s all\u00e1 del volumen, el ranking pone \u00e9nfasis en la calidad y en la contribuci\u00f3n efectiva de las instituciones en la generaci\u00f3n de conocimiento de frontera.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>El Rector de la Universidad de Concepci\u00f3n,\u00a0<strong>Dr. Carlos Saavedra Rubilar,<\/strong>\u00a0subray\u00f3 que \u201clas revistas cient\u00edficas que se incluyen en Nature Index son las de mayor impacto en dos de las seis \u00e1reas de conocimientos de la clasificaci\u00f3n OCDE: Ciencias Naturales y Ciencias M\u00e9dicas y de la Salud.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>La m\u00e1xima autoridad de la casa de estudios, agreg\u00f3 que \u201cal mismo tiempo,<\/span><b><span>\u00a0<\/span>es importante destacar que este indicador no solo cuantifica el n\u00famero de publicaciones en que participan las instituciones, sino que tambi\u00e9n considera la participaci\u00f3n relativa en la generaci\u00f3n de conocimiento de frontera de esas investigaciones<\/b><span>. De esta forma, las publicaciones que all\u00ed son difundidas se encuentran entre las de mayor impacto y alcance global en estas \u00e1reas, raz\u00f3n por la cual el incremento significativo que ha experimentado nuestra universidad durante 2024 constituye un logro muy relevante, por el que agradecemos y felicitamos a las y los investigadores que contribuyeron con su trabajo\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Liderazgo tem\u00e1tico<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span>En el detalle por \u00e1reas de conocimiento, la UdeC se posicion\u00f3 en el\u00a0<\/span><b>1\u00b0 lugar nacional en Ciencias de la Tierra y Medio Ambiente<\/b><span>,\u00a0<\/span><b>3\u00b0 en Ciencias F\u00edsicas<\/b><span>, y\u00a0<\/span><b>5\u00b0 en Ciencias Biol\u00f3gicas y Qu\u00edmica<\/b><span>, entre las 42 universidades chilenas consideradas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>En el \u00e1mbito nacional, el ranking es liderado por la\u00a0<\/span><b>Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile<\/b><span>, seguida por la\u00a0<strong>Universidad de Concepci\u00f3n,<\/strong>\u00a0y en tercer lugar, la\u00a0<\/span><b>Universidad T\u00e9cnica Federico Santa Mar\u00eda<\/b><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>La\u00a0<\/span>Vicerrectora de Investigaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo<span>,\u00a0<strong>Dra. Andrea Rodr\u00edguez Tastets,<\/strong>\u00a0subray\u00f3 el valor del ranking por su \u00e9nfasis en la calidad.\u00a0 \u201cEl Nature Index utiliza art\u00edculos de investigaci\u00f3n publicados en revistas cient\u00edficas de alta calidad, principalmente en ciencias naturales, promoviendo no la cantidad sino la calidad y la contribuci\u00f3n basada en el n\u00famero y afiliaci\u00f3n de autores en las publicaciones.
